Fridays are, still, always exciting
No matter any plans
Forget the fighting
End of week, gathering day
Even when working Saturday
Pivot day, given disposition
For some, releasing inhibition
Others, igniting the weekend
Friday night, please!

No longer set
the heart at ease
Fridays for retirees
are the same as weekdays
as you will see
Monday through Friday for most retirees are lovingly now long weekend’s for us retirees
Monday’s through Sunday’s
are days of rest – we have long ago passed the workday’s test!
