photographic image of falling snowflakes against sun on the horizon

Snowfall

transfigured bits of
great impermanence

strike within, arouse
astonishment, stoke
energy: glisten

distinctive snowflake
infinitude feel

floating, air unseen
falling down upon
solid ground: could melt

extensive wind brings
you . . . farther than then

your previous forms
inimitable—
all . . . before the thaw
