Young Winter – Haiku

pale blue backs cool browns
crisp leaves, gone and dormant greens
finally hanging

shaky connections
wait for winter’s deep descent
today, mild and bright

True-color image depicts early winter's post-freeze lack of green color, many leaves fallen while some remain in dormant stages depending on the type of tree; set against pale blue, partly cloudy skies
The camera sees what the eye sees: diminished, sun-washed colors of a mild, early winter day.
