Moving Forward (Poem)

Unknown time, scope at present   
inherent change in pocket—unseen      

Small matters adrift upon
seas of compromise, besides   

Dreary predictions—like  
widened highways don’t lessen traffic

Fundamentally misleading,  
Spring’s novelty yet arrives.
