Zesty Yellow Spring (Poem)

Honeysuckle breeze
curtains adrift
to and fro glints
sunbeams shine in

An omelet brunch
(or runny egg)
creamy banana
brighten the day

For yellow skies now
seem to forecast
shade of sun’s light
challenge the dash

Catch the Yellow Cab
sunshine rain-boots
caution to the wind
slicker cover

POP – Goldspur bundles
along the curb
farmstand-apple orbs
a day’s rest stop

Then later, at home
produce prepared
lemon-bar glow
zesty yellow energy

Cyclical Spring, Life Unique

Springtime – contrast to time’s fate
Renewal, as to wake from sleep
Seasonal savior’s advance offers
Temporary exultation

Warmed earth under sun’s
Limbering heat blooms not disposition
But senses that we’re present
Revitalizing our functions

To each seasonal rebirth belongs
Advent: new life, more time . . . blooms
In accord to context and care
Nature and nurture hold sway

Ice: Pop Poetry

Ice-bound memories
Sealed, until time when
Earth’s cyclic warming
Reveals past events
Come alive again, in
Minds of needful prompts
Not first nor last—alas
We are limited
Living bodies meant to
Withstand known ranges
Without deviance
Brought by unbridled
Use of resources.
