Poems & Poetic Prose

Time to go—

Community outing, sunkissed variety

Activities: musing, seeking

Rain or shine—take it inside

Key is, boost the group

Poetry, sport events

Attracting, exploring

Just you, just me,

You and me

“Jamboree” is a familiar, archaic term, heard on occasion in childhood. Although the term is generally defined to be associated with the Boy Scouts organization, the term has roots in prior usage to define a festive, perhaps boisterous gathering, usually in support of a cause: be that an organization or the public.

Must-read etymology: What is the origin of the word Jamboree?
