Sundown hour

spring sunset song time
crickets chirp eve’s aloneness
down with the sunlight
warming no longer cold ground
upon which it rests day-long

Zesty Yellow Spring (Poem)

Honeysuckle breeze
curtains adrift
to and fro glints
sunbeams shine in

An omelet brunch
(or runny egg)
creamy banana
brighten the day

For yellow skies now
seem to forecast
shade of sun’s light
challenge the dash

Catch the Yellow Cab
sunshine rain-boots
caution to the wind
slicker cover

POP – Goldspur bundles
along the curb
farmstand-apple orbs
a day’s rest stop

Then later, at home
produce prepared
lemon-bar glow
zesty yellow energy
