Clouds and treetops mimic
mock their counterparts
reach into the sky
between spheres, low and high
they trade light and food
ride their sun’s wild winds
over nights and days that
never end / but change, with
seasons come and gone

Awww, so pretty. I love the thought of elements of nature trying to compete with each other in lighthearted ways.

Hello there! Your poem is very nice, but I think you have it linked to the wrong prompt. You’ve linked it to dVerse but say it is for “Written for weejars @mindlovemiserysmenagerie’s Photo Challenge 434: .” Also, it does not include the prompt word for today’s 44-word poem, which is “warm.” You may want to check your link.
